Lotaš is a group of islands in the middle of the great ocean of Kokos. During this timeline, this continent has not been found yet and plays a similar role as the New World. The humans living on here are all really far back in technology, basically resembling the mesolithic. The entire group is very exotic in nature, containing special biomes only seen in this region of the world.

Climate

The climate is very diverse, ranging from temperate forests to tropical mainland to dry and hot desert-like land as well as the more colder mushroom islands of the west.

Terrain

Depending on the island, the flora and fauna, as well as the ecosystem, may be very different. The westernmost island, which is the furthest away, contains a mushroom forest. Here giant mushroom trees (prototaxites) are the dominant life form. The entire central superregion has many bamboo forests. Pandas only exist here. The bamboo continent has endemic cherry blossom bamboo: pink bamboo. The southernmost island has large dry deserts, as it is right on the equator. These arid deserts are coral fields where dried out corals live. This island is almost at sea level and once a year, the coasts far inland are flooded with knee deep water. The very south contains islands with fungal shrublands. It features desert fungi, volcanoes and is very inhospitable to life.
