The world of Omoa

Lusoan Pantheons

There are many different pantheons of the Lusoa religion. The main ones is the western pantheon, the old pantheon and the Ribangese pantheon.

Western Pantheon

Western Pantheon

The western pantheon or movamomian pantheon developed after the Empire of the Milenians had conquered most of the west. It was first enforced, then only voluntarily regulated, but to this day it has proven dominant. Almost the entire west of the archipelago believes in this pantheon (with minimal differences). In the Milenian pantheon, Molomi is at the head of the pantheon. He is an important deity, that guards the sea and provides floods. Nemum is not his sister here, but her husband, while Lüvem is labelled as a simple secondary matter and thus loses relevance. This reflects the abstinence of Milenian culture. Gemol and Moas are given higher positions as children of the couple Molomi and Nemum. Colalö, Monao and Növipzi are not siblings here, but a tripartite couple. This development was made possible by the polygamy-friendliness of the Milenians. Due to their lack of parents, they must also have been created by the Chaos Sea. This age gives them a greater role in the pantheon. Albuno is given less relevance, despite the strong death rituals. Molomi takes on his role almost entirely, Albuno is only considered the ruler of the (evil) underworld.

Old Pantheon

The old pantheon was widespread before the Milenian empire existed. Here there was no real leading deity, only other positions. Over the years, this pantheon has stood the test of time among the Grottoes and Apãfis, but has changed somewhat.

Grotto Pantheon

In the caves, Dóm is the highest deity. Moca is considered the child of the couple Molomi and Lüvem, which gives Dóm a higher position as a granddaughter. Gemol and Moas are siblings and Nemum is less important as the sun does not really reach the caves. In the stories of the caves, Nemum died and thus created the three offspring.

Apafisian Pantheon

Among the Easterners, Lüvem is the highest deity and Moca is not considered the child of Molomi and Lüvem. Unlike in both pantheons, Gemol and Moas are not siblings but a couple. The unique sexual and loving rivalry between the two is particularly recognised here. Somom also appears, which is simply missing in the western sphere.

Ribangese Pantheon

Ribangese Pantheon

The Ribangese pantheon developed among the Lusoa followers in the north of Mangrovia next to the eastern ones. The only Lusoa temple in the entire mangrove area is located there. The speciality of the pantheon is the importance of Somom, who is considered the main god. Androgynous deities are reduced by far, homosexual couples of the gods do not exist. The names are also different, but remain unchanged in the overview diagram. Overall, there are fewer gods in this pantheon with some that are very little worshipped.
